A real finnish glulam house Rastintaipale where the owner used to live now is available for rent. It was built on a picturesque Ruotsalainen lake in only 140 km from Helsinki Vantaa airport, 175 km from russian border and 48 km to Lahti close to Heinola town.
There’s a full kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The kitchen is also equipped with dishwasher and even a wood-heated oven. A fireplace in the livingroom is made with energy-efficient technologies, so it saved heat for a long time. The sauna could be heated by both electricity and woods. There’s a summertime barbeque on the yard of the cottage.
There’s a beautiful lakeview in the rooms of the house. A dock with a rowboat is situated by the lake. In summertime it is possible to swim and surely it is ok to fish in the lake (the owner could help with getting a permit)
The house can accomodate from 8 to 12 people, it’s total size is 130 m². The cottage is the most optimal for a company of 9 people, but there’re still space for 4 more adults on a sofabed and a bunkbed. There’s also a babycot in one of the bedrooms.
One of the most popular South Finland’s mounting ski resorts — Messila — is situated in 56 km from the cottage, near Lahti. The closest ski track is in 6 km, the village of Heinola is in 10 km, and the closest grocery is in 6 km too.
